Spring Insight Week Intern Review

Invaluable and unique experience, which enabled me to gain a better and more knowledgeable insight of the Investment Banking industry.

At all times, employees of the bank made us all feel that we were part of the 'ONE TEAM' motto BAML believes in. Employees, running from analysts to managing directors, made us feel that one day we could be in their shoes.

This insight week has been vital for me, as it has opened my eyes into the intrinsic workings of IBK and BAML in particular. Furthermore, it has completely convinced me in pursuing a career in this industry. The networking events were key in getting to know better how the day to day at BAML was like within different sectors.

Coming from an Engineering background my skills and information about IBK were quite scarce. This insight week has given me a better view of what the industry is like and key basic knowledge required. Furthermore, I would like to highlight the emphasis on the positive culture of BAML, especially the strong junior culture they portray.

The insight week was well balanced with presentations, networking events, interactive case studies and above all, FUN.

The atmosphere during the insight week reflected that of BAML. A positive and enjoyful atmosphere, where everyone excels and helps each other out. We all worked together as a team in order to fulfil an ultimate goal: enjoy the the insight week.

The interactive case studies were very engaging and enhanced team work skills.

Deep insight into the day to day life at BAML and especially IBK.

All employees emphasised the extremely nice and positive atmosphere that there is at BAML. Furthermore, the extremely strong junior culture, where the juniors get a lot of exposure to the bank.

The content of the insight was vital in helping decide to finally pursue a career in Investment Banking.

I was reimbursed my expenses, more than thankful for that.

There were plenty of networking event to get to know employees and their specific roles.

The networking events were extremely engaging and we were able to keep in contact with them after the spring week.

There are plenty of activities outside of work to pursue at BAML, especially volunteering. BAML is extremely concerned about the community, especially after the financial crisis.
