About You
This was definitely an enjoyable spring insight experience!
It was great that they did all the presentations in all departments, however, I believed that they could've incorporated a bit more networking time.
Fairly decent amount in terms of the case study. Each group was assigned an individual coach. All employees were also very open, approachable and helpful when I had any enquiries.
Definitely gave me a better insight into what life would be like in a professional service firm.
The Company
Fairly structured, however the first day was a heavy day of theory whereas second day was very interactive. I believe there could've been a better balance.
Great! Felt that there was an adequate amount of engagement and energy within the room. However, at certain presentations the energy could've been higher in order to heighten engagement with all participants.
Quite a bit as they took many staff out of their day job in order to assist us with our case study project and to present to us. KPMG also delivered various soft skills sessions for us. This proved that they not only want to develop our knowledge of the firm and the industry, but also in us as an individual.
Definitely a very good insight. The comprehensive presentations really did help! As we got presentations from staff from various departments, it really did give us participants a great overview of what is it like to have a full time role not only within the company, but also within different departments.
The company culture really did shine through their employees. Conversations with employees also helped a lot in understanding the company culture. They were all very helpful and answered all my questions in a very patient manner.
As we got a wide range of information regarding various departments, as well as an in-depth case study session, the 2 days definitely did help me understand about what it is like to work in this business, and help me discover what really stimulates my interest.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed my expenses for up to 50 pounds.
Yes there was, had a one hour drinks session to meet with some current employees. Also had some time after each presentation (10-15mins) to engage with the presenter. However, I really do believe that there could've been more networking opportunities.
Again, yes. However, there could've been more of these opportunities as they are really useful for us participants. Through talking with employees from various ranks and positions within the company, it gave me various perspectives to look from, and gain a fairer understanding of what it truly is like to work in KPMG.
Not exactly, it was more focused and orientated around the operations of the firm. There was very minimal information regarding what employees can get involved in outside of work.
Definitely! Great programme to get a greater understanding into KPMG's culture and how it is like to work in a professional service firm! It is also a great opportunity for you to network with current employees and gain a first hand insight into the various divisions within the company!
