About You
Very informative, insightful on the vital role of technology in the banking industry. It also had a light and supportive environment in the bank and between participants.
Nice accommodation and travel arrangements. Not only did they inform about the company, but also gave advice about working in general and working in technology. Kept us informed via email often.
It was easy to ask questions in the talks.
Gave insight on how computer concepts work and how it is applied in the context of a bank.
The Company
Very structured.
Relaxed and fun, not what you think software developers in a bank are like
The invested both technical advice (ie what its like working in a tech company) and life advice on work life and learning to be better.
Learned about the culture, roles, mobility within the company, even learning about the daily schedule of an analyst to a VP.
There was a panel of recent graduates and VP's where they gave us an impression about the work culture.
They helped more about the opportunities within the tech sector of the firm and a vague view about daily work day of an analyst. I would like to have experienced both BA and AD roles rather than being chosen one of the two to work shadow with.
Everything Else
Was reimbursed travel expenses.
Was able to work shadow a developer or business analyst. There was no dedicated time for networking with other employees in the firm. However you can ask questions during the interview, graduate panels and VP panels.
Social events were more about networking with the participants in the Spring week more than
Learned about groups within the company and
Yes, I think its very insightful at the same time very fun.
