The Role
There were times when it was hard work and I seemed to work longer hours then many of the other placement students but then you cant complain when you get flown to Sardinia and go to lots of Glitzy award cermonys :)
It took a while for me to become part of the team, for the first few months it wasnt ideal as I sat seperate to the team. Once the office move happened and I was sat closer to everyone I immediately began to feel much more valued.
The weekly meetings with my manager didnt always happen....mainly because we were both so busy and he was in and out the office a lot....but they were usually there if I needed anything.
You got to take the rough with the smooth....sometimes I was rushed off my feet but all worth it when other times you are driving cars and wining and dining with journalists.
I was responsible for running a website by myself and a organising the daily media distribution that went to all the top directors including the MD...along with the responsibility of representing Vauxhall at media events.....Id say a lot of responsibility
Its hard to be specific about the skills I learnt.....lots really....biggest one is that its made me much more mature.

Overall the placement scheme was well run...but it was the first year my specific job had run so it took a while for my role to be defined
Lots of training and the opportunity to sign yourself up for as many courses as you wanted at the VX academy
