About You
The Spring Week was very insightful, explaining all the areas of operations and their day to day tasks. The group tasks that were run throughout the week were very enjoyable and I learn't lots from the various activities (e.g. AGILE)
All the staff were extremely facilitating, answering any question you could think of, ensuring that you felt that you were valued.
As much support was given as you cold possibly need, there was extensive sessions on everything ranging from what J.P. Morgan does in operations to what to expect from an assessment centre.
Skills developed ranged from networking skills to teamwork skills and I am sure that the development will prove very useful in both my degree studies and in work later on in life.
The Company
The internship was very well structured with us being given a booklet from the beginning which included a timetable of all the different sessions we would be having in the week coming.
All the other interns were very kind and there was no feeling that we were "fighting against each other for a summer internship" which can often be the case in events like this.
In the week at the firm every day was jammed packed of development exercises.
There was plenty of time to ask J.P. Morgan employees what it is like to work there throughout many networking events. Also through work shadowing we were able to see what it was like to work at J.P. Morgan.
As said before the various networking events provided ample opportunity to see what the culture in the company was like.
The week was very valuable in terms of helping me understand what operations entailed and if I would be interested in it.
Everything Else
Parking was reimbursed
There were 4 opportunities for networking thought the week.
The networking events were very good with various ones having different employees. We had opportunities to talk to both graduates, VPs and members of NextGen Networking.
We were told about BRG's within J.P. Morgan
Yes, without a doubt.
