About You
I loved it. I enjoyed hearing about the various fields and roles.
We didn't really do anything for the company, although I did try and help my buddy solve a problem
I received a fair amount of guidance. From the CDP staff running the event and from my buddy who was a current graduate scheme employee.
The agile game helped me better understand the technique and how I could potentially apply to group work in the future.
The Company
Excellently. The entire week ran really quite well.
Good, the networking evenings went well and ops and tech activities allowed for even a better atmosphere between the 2 streams.
We didn't really do any training. But developed ourselves through group activities and talks. With plans to invest more in us should we return for an internship.
The work shadowing allowed us to directly look into roles we could take. But speaking to current graduates helped us also.
Everyone was happy to share their work experiences, with any people talking about JP Morgans work groups and philanthropic activities
Helped me decide whether or not to pursue a internship in the company
Everything Else
We were put up in hotel with breakfast and provided with travel expenses. Although many felt dinner should have also been included.
2 networking event were held with added opportunities around the building and popular frequented bars.
Good. The first one could have done with more direction to help us find our buddies and promote networking with other buddies. The second was held in a bar and was much more casual and free flowing.
Yes through BWGs such as the WIN or women's Interactive network as well as many others for various minorities.
Yes as its worth the trip and gives a good insight into what the company does and what you should be doing there. And also undoubtedly looks good on your CV, whilst helping you improve skills and build network nodes.
