About You
While the insight was exceptionally useful and valuable, it was not something I particularly enjoyed.
They treated all of us very well, and gave everyone an equal chance to participate.
There were multiple talks on what working at the company was like and what it entailed. In addition to this, there was work shadowing, which provided a useful insight into the day to day lives of employees. Not only this, but we were repeatedly encouraged to ask questions and simply say something if we had any problems; they were very supportive.
While I didn't learn anything new pertaining to my degree, I did learn a lot about how to be a professional and the like; areas such as interview skills, personal branding and other workshops were exceptionally useful and I definitely think they were worthwhile. Furthermore, I developed some of my skills slightly, such as teamwork and communication (presenting etc.).
The Company
Very well structured; we were provided a schedule right on the first day which was very accurate, and stuck to for the most part. Not only this, but the ordering of events did seem to make sense, and the events of each day built on the previous quite well.
Quite intimidating, but I am glad for that; being in such a professional environment (even if only for an insight) was a useful primer in what it might be like if I were to get a job at such a company. It should not be watered down at this point, as an insight is the closest you can get to working there without actually doing any work, so it needs to be 100% authentic; which it was.
If this is relating to career skills, then they invested a whole day, if not more on us. Everything we were told was related back to personal growth and advancing your career etc.
I felt it gave a very accurate picture; I came out with a good idea of what it would be like, with no further questions.
Almost all the employees preached the ethos of the company in a way that it was evident to see the passion required to work there.
Very; all my questions were answered regarding what the job was like, what it required, and where it could lead me.
Everything Else
Everything was paid for.
Yes, on two dedicated occasions, as well as spending time with employees in general.
Very good; we went out for drinks.
Yes, we were given a talk about what it was like to live and work in Bournemouth, as well as the onsight facilities for employees.
Yes.
