    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The week was an all-round enjoyable experience. I learnt a lot during the 5 days and made lots of new friends which was an added bonus. In every way I look at it, the week was a success for me and I am definitely happy I applied.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I 100% felt like HR and other members of the company wanted me to be there. Everyone was extremely kind from day 1 and I never felt like it was wrong to ask questions.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I was given everything I needed. Any questions I had were immediately answered and I now feel much more at ease with regards to selecting what career path I wish to choose. It was especially helpful being able to talk to so many people from the business - graduates and associates / VPs / EDs because I could get there opinion on their job.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • As the week was just about the company and roles available, I am not returning to uni with any more knowledge related to my degree (languages), but I definitely feel like my career knowledge and pathway has been positively affected.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • There was almost always something informative to be done. HR tried extremely hard to get it right and it is naturally quite difficult to please so many people at once. I believe they did extremely well and even if I did have an area to complain about, we gave feedback at the end of the week so you can be sure that they will be different in a positive way next year.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • It was great - everyone was positive and ready to go when we started. All of my fellow interns were extremely friendly and helped eachother out. HR were really nice, and everyone in the offices was approachable which made the learning experience that bit easier and less daunting,

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Despite the fact we didn't need to complete any tasks for the company, we were actually informed of techniques that the company uses to strengthen teams and create new ideas. I feel that the summer internships would contain much more training,

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I definitely understand what it would be like as I was able to network with interns and more senior staff on a number of occasions. We were also told about the graduate program and so without a doubt, I know what I would be signing up for!

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • As explained before, everything was so well explained. I know the culture and would feel at ease actually working in the office. It all comes down to the same fact that everyone was so easy to approach and talk to.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • I definitely feel as though I have a much better idea of where I want to work and would definitely consider working for JPM. There were lots of talks which helped us out.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Reimbursed and hotel paid.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There were a number of networking opportunities including networking drinks and shadowing which meant we could be informed all about what it is like working for the company.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Was a night out in a bar and also we were all friends by the end of the week so we could easily have gone out more if we so wished.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • As mentioned, everyone was so open about their experiences and we were invited to ask as many questions as necessary so I feel like I have a good idea about everything the employees do outside of work including sport, volunteering.
