About You
The insight was extremely enjoyable. It was very relaxed, useful and insightful. Everything was taken care of and the programme flowed smoothly.
I felt extremely valued during the insight. There were constantly people around to ask for help and guidance, no question was a stupid question and all the staff were extremely friendly.
There was a lot of guidance during the insight which gave details on the company, the different roles and opportunities available and their operations. There were very friendly workers available at all times to ask for help or to address any concerns.
The insight was the first time I had witnessed how my degree may be useful in a fast paced and real life situations in the workplace. Learning about the different areas of the company and the company's operations was really useful as it allowed me to see how the modules I choose and the work I complete can contribute to my future career. We also had the opportunity to develop generic employability skills such as communication, presentation and team work skills.
The Company
The insight was very well structured. We were given a schedule on the first morning which had details of what we were doing, who was running the sessions and what would be covered during them. They mixed up the sessions so there wasn't too much repetition and that the atmosphere remained calm.
The general atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable. As well as providing useful insights, the scheme also allowed us to develop friendships, ask each other questions and be honest about our thoughts on our future careers.
The company had obviously invested a lot in the personal training and development of us as everything was taken care of and there were additional activities which were extremely enjoyable. Quite a lot of successful and highly ranked workers also took their time out to talk to us and provide an insight.
The insight was very useful to help us understand what it would be like to have a full time role in the company. We were able to talk to current employees, employers and graduates. We had talks on the different lines of business, locations and operations.
The insight was very helpful to understand the company culture. There were talks on the company, the opportunities available and their stance on responsibility. Being in the offices also allowed us to witness and feel the atmosphere of the company.
It was extremely helpful as it gave insights into the company, their operations and how it relates to the wider business and finance industry. Having workers who are approachable, friendly and full of information also allowed me to understand where I want my future career path to go.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed expenses for the trip including travel, food and accommodation.
There were employees everywhere during the insight and they were all happy to answer questions or address any queries we might have. We had the opportunity to meet and network with employees, employers and graduates of the firm.
The social events were amazing for the scheme. They treated us very well including a trip on the London Eye.
During the information sessions the workers spoke about the opportunities available in the firm including travel and volunteering.
Yes! I would definitely recommend this insight to a friend as it was fun, enjoyable and full of useful information and experience.
