    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • 5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I was given lots of work, and everyone seemed to know my name - all the HR staff, many of the layers in my department and even quite a few of the partners. They had clearly made an effort to do so and it suggests that the trainees are really looked after and given a lot of attention.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I always felt like there were, at any one time, several people I could ask for guidance for a given task I was doing. Whether that was my trainee 'buddy', my supervising associate, the associate whose office I was sat in, the graduate recruitment staff or other current trainees, support was always close at hand

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Developed some research skills

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Whole week was clearly timetabled and well organised

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Challenging, stressful at times, friendly, competitive but in a healthy way, collegiate, open, welcoming.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The week itself was a big investment by the firm and I feel I developed a great deal.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I feel my role was as similar to the role of a trainee as possible, given my inexperience. I do feel I experienced a good representation of what it would be like to work there.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Ample opportunity to speak to many employees who spoke candidly and openly about the culture.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Very useful - I was given real work to do during the week which helped me decide if the career was for me

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • My pay for the week covered all my expenses with some money left over. The subsidised restaurant also enabled me to eat (really well!) for next to nothing all week in the office.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes, plenty, though a 'speed networking' session would have been really great

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Well organised and good fun

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Yes I asked the trainees about these and they told me about the various sports clubs, charity event etc that go on at the firm

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Yes

    5/5
