About You
I really enjoyed the insight week. It beat my expectations and furthered my amazement that I had been chosen above others to participate.
I felt very valued by the company. This was due to the obvious amount of effort that had been made by the campus team to make the week both informative and enjoyable
I felt that apart from the introduction from Dee Clarke I was left to my own devices in term of guidance. If i had questions there was always someone on hand to ask but if I knew what was happening then I was left to network and get fully involved.
It's too soon to tell but the main skill i have taken from this insight week is networking. I feel more confident to approach people as well as how I may build a professional relationship going beyond the first meeting with someone.
The Company
The insight week was well structured. The different lines of business seemed to vary in terms of how information was delivered and presented. The more interactive ones such as global markets were the best.
The atmosphere was that of excitement and progress. I felt like I could achieve and was excited to be among a group of like minded students. The campus team did well to help foster the development of friendships.
Through external speakers and after-hours events I felt the company was heavily investing in this cohort of students.
I felt that there could have been more information regarding a 'day in the life' of current employees. I was still able to ask this question directly which yielded a variety of responses but the overall consensus was that no two days are exactly the same.
The culture of diversity and the 'one team' mentality came across. What this means for the office was left to us to decide,
It was invaluable as we were making decisions on what line of business we would like to be assessed for.
Everything Else
I have been reimbursed for all expenses aside from the odd espresso that I needed however for that cost I was able to make use of the BAML discount!
This was a massive component of the entire week. Many opportunities with all different types of employees.
The social events were great fun as well as being great for more networking.
Yes. We had a variety of talks and networking events about employee networks and the community efforts of the Bank that one can volunteer for.
Yes. I already have!
