About You
Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 weeks. Helped develop future necessary skills and enabled me to get involved in realistic tasks that have occurred in the past.
There were numerous senior talks and networking events involving analysts and Managing directors. Despite busy schedules, many took the time out to speak us of which we all appreciated.
During the Case studies worked on over the two weeks several analysts dropped in to help with any queries we had. Thus, more than enough guidance/ support was given to us.
During a particular case study there were aspects that were very similar to that of my degree. In general, the diligence emphasized to succeed in the banking environment was a skill that can be taken on into my degree study and beyond. In addition numerous other life skills were discussed and developed over the two weeks.

A full training day was scheduled which helped learn the basics to the financial world.
It was an intense two weeks and there were numerous talks ranging from analysts to Managing Directors. This gave an insight into what the working environment and culture would be like throughout the firm and so it did help understand what it would be like to have a full time role.
Company culture was stressed throughout the two weeks
Whether I go into the financial industry or not, the two weeks definitely demonstrated what it would be like to work in the IBD division.
