About You
I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the insight programme. It was very beneficial as it enabled me to see what go's on in the day to day role of a chartered surveyor in valuation.
My team was extremely good at keeping me thoroughly involved and happy during my week. I was always given the opportunity to work in different parts of the team and really broaden my knowledge surrounding valuation.
I received a lot of guidance and help not only from my mentors but also by the various associates, associate directors and directors around the office. Even at the busiest times of the day, everyone seemed happy to help.
The insight programme was of great help to me. It really enabled me to put into practise some of what has been learnt in my first year of real estate at university.
The Company
The insight was very well structured. Not only did it provide set talks, lunches, drinks and meetings but the day to day work was also very well set out. Unlike work experience I have done in the past I was kept busy at all times.
Very good! Both HR and the Savills employees seemed very happy for us to be there. My fellow peers carrying out the insight programme also thoroughly enjoyed the time spent there, which helped make the atmosphere as it was.
The firm gave us many talks on different parts of the business. Broadening our horizon on the roles of an employee within the property world.
As insight students we were very involved in the savills way of life. We carried out full day to day operations, really giving us a feel of what it is like to work for savills.
The company culture is very well known and by working there you can really see why this is.
The content of the day was very useful as it made me even more certain that I have made the right choice going down the property route.
Everything Else
We had our expenses paid for.
Savills set up several talks and drinks throughout the week which really allowed us to start networking and meeting current employees.
The drinks and lunches were very good fun. It gave us time to have chats in a less structured situation.
Yes having spoken to a few employees I was able to see the activities that occur outside of work hours. Something that pleased me very much as a keen sportsman.
Yes. I thoroughly enjoyed my week and thought it was extremely beneficial to aspiring chartered surveyors.
