About You
I thought this was an incredible experience to be able to see what working for Savills may be like in the future, and I very much enjoyed this opportunity.
It was great to be able to play a part in the work Savills were doing for their clients, and i felt i was given many opportunites to be involved with this.
Whenever i had any questions to ask about a peice of work i was doing, i felt comfortable asking for help, which was then given to me and then thoroughly explained so I could then co ti ue with my work.
It was great to be able to apply what i had learnt in my studies so far to real world scenarios, so i now feel like i undertand certain modules, particularly investment appraisal much beter now.
The Company
We managed to do a variety of things, with different activities each day. I felt the week was structured well, especially with its networking opportunities.
The atmosphere was good, especially when i got to meet with other insight students and their mentors who were obviously in the same position with me, and were able to swap stories of our different experiences of the programme.
I felt as the week went on that i became more confident with speaking to employees of the company especially in formal situations.
The insight programme has confirmed for me that Savills is where i would like to work after university as a firm choice, i felt i wanted to stay longer than a week!
Seeing lots of different peoples roles within the company, but still their mutual targets and goals, enabled me to realise what the company aims for as a whole.
It has made me sure that i have picked the right degree and career goal of aiming to become a Chartered Surveyor.
Everything Else
I havent done so yet, but i am told that expenses will be reimbursed up to £100.
Yes, on several occassions i was able to meet many people higher up in the company, not only in the office i was placed at, but also ones close by.
Better than expected - i didnt know quite what to expect, but i met lots of workers and insight students over my insight week.
I had heard that the weekend after i left that many people were participating in a charity bike ride, and some cricket matches.
Definitely, for me the was a very "insightful" week and has really helped me and made me look forward to working afyer university, and I'd like to think it would make others feel the same way too.
