About You
It gave me a good overview of the banking industry in general, especially my chosen areas commercial and private banking. The job shadowing was very useful and I enjoyed to meet so many new and very friendly people.
They gave us very nice accommodation and made me feel welcome.
We did not get too much support or guidance. They gave us our schedule and then left us to ourselves (for example, trying to figure out how to get to various offices). That was not a problem though!
All the information I received help me to form an opinion on whether I want to go into banking or not. The presentation was useful to develop public speaking skills, something that will definitely be useful for my degree and later on.
The Company
It was very well structured, although some things could have been left out (for example, CSR activity). From the beginning of the week it was clear what we would do when.
All the other spring interns were very friendly. The graduates were lovely and tried to make us feel welcome during job shadowing.
They did a presentation skills session at the beginning of the week.
We could talk to many graduates and ask them about their experience.
I feel like I have a good idea about how it is to work at RBS and what distinguishes this company from any other.
Very useful.
Everything Else
I did get my expenses reimbursed and they paid for my accommodation (which was really nice!!!).
There were many opportunities to meet and talk to current graduates. It was difficult to network or talk to anyone else though.
There was one networking quiz on the first day, which was really nice.
They told us that there is such a thing as CSR, but didn't give us too much information.
Definitively.
