About You
Very insightful introduction to the bank, good social networking events through out the week. Long hours though and very intense.
HR consistently there to take of you, and all the workers were very friendly when work shadowing and made you feel important part of bank's future
Received support from HR on logistical and tips on networking properly.
Gained skills particularly useful for future internships. Gained insight into how the industry works and technical knowledge learnt which will be useful for future career.
The Company
Networking drinks on first night, dinner mid week. Networking sessions at breakfast and during the day. Sessions were well organised with breaks in between.
Very professional culture and atmosphere
We had an opportunity to work shadow a desk which we were interested in and spend time with them gaining personal training and development.
We had an opportunity to work shadow a desk which we were interested in and this provided a good understanding of having a full time role with the firm, however it varies per desk and we only got to work shadow one desk
We were given talks relating to the culture of the bank, and all employees were very open about the culture and how it differs from other similar banks.
Very in-depth sessions in to two areas of the bank that you pre-select. However, as you are exposed to the limited number of areas it is difficult to be sure of when deciding future career path.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed expenses for travel, and provided breakfast and lunch every day and drinks through out
Yes, plenty of opportunities. Networking drinks on first day, dinner mid week organised by them. Also networking opportunities scheduled in through out the week and work shadowing with an employee. Informal and formal sessions.
Informal and formal networking sessions.
Given a tour of office showing extra facilities they offer for staff, and given a talk about the volunteering employees get involved in outside of work.
Definitely recommended. Amazing insight in to bank culture, the work each division does, and how to progress further at the bank.
