About You
I Really enjoyed the programme, everything was planned well and I was never left without any work to do.
Being at the programme for only a week I couldn't say if I felt valued or not.
I recieved a great amount guidance from the commercial valuation team, in regards to the work I was assigned. I also had the privelige of being able to discuss possible dissertation questions with Ian Malden.
I was able to develop on my Argus skills which was great as I had used the programme before at Uni but couldn't seem to get the hang of it. I also expanded on my report writing skills.
The Company
The programme was very structured everyday we had various talks to go to which gave us an insight of the different departments the company had.
The general atmosphere was great, people were friendly and very helpful.
The firm invested in me by helping me consider the different pathways I could look into in regards to my APC.
The programme gave me a great idea of what it would being a surveyor and Savills would be like.
The insight programme really gave me a better understanding of the company culture.
In deciding my career path the insight programme opened my eyes to other departments which I would be interested in.
Everything Else
Reimbursed for my expenses
Savills provided great opportunities to network during the short time I visited. We had the privilege of having lunch with directors to drinks with the current graduates.
The networking events were very productive as it gave us as insight students a chance to understand the different roles that people played within the team. Through these events we were able to get a better understanding of how the company works and we recieved great advice in regards to what root to take once we had completed University.
Yes we found out that the residential valuation team go on a team holiday every summer. We also found out that the company do alot of fundraising activites which include bake sales, the London Marathon and so on.
