About You
Thoroughly enjoyed the spring week and felt it was well organised and the activities were enjoyable. The days were long but kept me busy.
I felt very valued and all members of staff i came in contact with treated me with respect and courtesy and in a professional manner.
Received a lot of guidance throughout about the company and what opportunities were available to us which i found very helpful. During the activities support was always at hand but not in an obvious or easy way so you had to think for yourself as well which was encouraging.
Definitely helped a lot. I gained tips on how to interview and my teamwork and coding skills greatly improved. Assisted my studies/career in a great sense as i have been accepted into the summer internship in 2016 and hope to go onto the undergraduate programme from there.
The Company
Well structured although i felt day one was a bit intense and maybe the Focus groups could have been spread out more over the week. Liked how the itinerary was given out so we could know what to expect each day. Activities were well spaced out with needed breaks inbetween. after social events were well planned and i really enjoyed them!
the atmosphere was more relaxed than expected which was great! Still an intense week but in a good sense, everyone was helpful, approachable and lovely to work with. A few stressful situations came with the games, but it was all part of the learning!
invested a good deal. Gave us talks on interviewing skills which helped myself secure the summer internship. Developed my personal and professional skills with the carefully selected activities i took part in
Helped a huge amount. the week definitely changed my perspective on the company as a whole and made me realise how great it would be to work there and be a part of it. the firm was a lot more relaxed than previously thought and learning about how one can move within the company inspired me as it would expose me to many different areas of the business
It did help although only work shadowed for 2 hours so didnt really get a chance to actually see what it would be like to work there. Got a vague idea, but it might be unrealistic.
very valuable. no idea what i wanted to do with my future but it seems like a great company to get involved in and an exciting path to take.
Everything Else
paid my travel to and from glasgow which was great.
Yes and no. Met a lot of employees within the firm but had very little chance to talk with them one on one. in many cases it was a talk they were giving and only a Q&A session at the end which wasnt exactly networking.
social events organised were great and gave a good chance to network with your peers and graduates of the firm. i thought the social events helped more in that respect than networking
yes, the graduates have a 'club' and organise events with each other outside work
if they were interested in technology, yes.
