About You
Really enjoyed the week, I felt like I learnt a lot and got to speak to a lot of people.
I did not feel like just a number, the HR team made a real effort to remember everyone's names. The people I work shadowed really were enthusiastic and excited to have us with them for the few hours we were.
Guidance was there when asked for, and continuous support throughout the week.
It will help me keep motivated to revise during this exam period because I know what I am working towards. It had given me a broader perspective on my degree and it's use to me.
The Company
Very well structured - we were always busy and there was a vast range of activities that we did.
Really relaxed and friendly - something I didn't expect!
As it was only 5 days there wasn't enough time for them to properly invest in us.
It gave me an insight but to really understand I would have needed to be there longer. The workshadowing was really useful for this, although the department you ended up in was really quite important - for example, in finance I spent time with the business management team which is not the area I am interested in, therefore it didn't give me an insight into the role I would be placed in.
The company culture seems to be one which is unavoidable - everyone uses the 4 statements of the culture so regularly and clearly genuinely believe in the culture. It seemed like a really lovely place to work.
It confused me! I now cannot decide between risk, internal audit and finance... Mainly because I enjoyed all those areas that I workshadowed in
Everything Else
I was reimbursed expenses
yes there was a lot of chance to network, and if you really wanted to talk to someone in a specific department then this was arranged for you
could have been more networking after the job shadowing
yes CSR
definitely
