The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my year at Disney. It has been a fantastic year with brilliant opportunities.
As most interns will tell you, you hit the ground running and you really feel like a valued full time team member. The team are very friendly, welcoming and are always there if you need help.
My manager has been brilliant, she has been so supportive, both with work and university work. She has always been there to help and guide me when needed and really had my best interests at heart. I honestly can't thank her enough!
Very! The role is very versatile and there is always something to be doing!
The role is a mixture, so some areas you are given a lot of responsibility, equivalent to that of managers. However other areas less so. But overall I felt valued and needed.
The practical experience I have gained while on placement has been invaluable, both to my career prospects and my university work. It has helped put academic theory to practice and you can see first hand the benefits and limitations of it.
The Company
As I work in the satellite office in Leeds, it is very small in comparison to the London offices. However being such as small team the atmosphere is brilliant and everyone is very easy to get along with. The London offices are also very friendly and welcoming and I love to spend some days down there.
Brilliant, from applying right through to now has been great and I can't fault it!
Having a 2 week handover with the previous intern and a lot of on the job training and learning I feel like the firm has invested a lot of time in me. The team are also more than happy to include me in meetings and talk things through with me to enable me to learn more about their area.

Although Disney offers no graduate scheme or graduate level jobs, which is a shame. I would still love to come back and work here one day!
The Culture
Being in a satellite office you do miss out a lot on the intern social life in London, however when I go down then all the interns often go out together. In the Leeds office the team are very sociable and we often go out for meals together.
Since it is Leeds, it is relatively cheap if you still live the "student" lifestyle and the pay more than covers this.
Great! Leeds is a brilliant night out.
There is a lot more opportunities in London as there are bigger teams and a lot more people down there.
