The Role
Started off slow and repetitive. Work load and challenges improved after my review (6 months into the placement)
The guys I worked with were fantastic, we worked hard and played harder!
Started off and ended my placement with nothing to do, but in the middle of the placement the work load was just right.
Had my own team to organise at one point, able to arrange any extra work/education and had to work on my own section of the product and demo it.
The Company
Could have been better if the scheme wasn't separated between technical and business.
I was able to do anything that was available to existing staff.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
The Culture
Some things were expensive but compared to living in London it was a cheap place to live and socialise.
IBM Hursley is close to centre of Winchester, where I had the best nights out ever. Other than that it was a short train or bus journey to Southampton, Portsmouth or even London.
