    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I really enjoyed the RBS Spring Week. Gaining both insights into the Private and Commercial sectors of the business has really helped me to understand which divisions I think I'm most suited to and will enjoy.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • RBS really invested in us as interns, organising brilliant shadowing sessions and allowing us to speak and network with senior individuals within the business.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • We had 4 half days of shadowing within the week with RBS, and all of the graduates which we shadowed were very informative and supportive. HR was also helpful during our induction days and days in which we had assessments, with the prospect of if successful gaining a place on their Summer internship for 2016.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Learning more about both the Private and Commercial sectors of the business has really helped me to understand which areas I would be interested in pursuing a career in. We also had a banking simulation training session, which has really helped my understanding of how a bank works - this will be helpful with my degree (Economics).

    The Company

  • The general atmosphere was really relaxed during the spring week. This made the week far more enjoyable and allowed us to create friendships with the fellow interns. All the RBS colleagues that we shadowed/spoke to were always really friendly and helpful - keen to answer any questions to their best ability.
