About You
It provided a great insight not only into the firm but into what technology in banks involves. Met some great employees and fellow interns.
They organised a large number of events and talks for us, which were extremely useful. We always had someone to go talk to at all times. Moreover, they provided us with desk space and email access for the 2 weeks.
Everyone was willing to help at all times, even if it mean't taking a huge amount of time out of their day.
Developed many skills such as communication, time management and team work, which will not only help within my degree but in everyday life.
The Company
Very well! They provided us with a rigid timetable for the 2 weeks which included talks from MD's, work shadowing sessions and lunches, as well as a lot more!
Great, everyone was motivated and ready to learn. All the current employees were very welcoming and willing to help with anything.
We could set up meetings with anyone in the firm and they would all be willing to meet as long as they never had meetings, this shows all the employees were enthusiastic to help and for us to learn.
We completed an individual and group project which gave us an insight into a role within the firm. The work shadowing also gave us knowledge of day to day roles.
Culture is a huge part of GS and this was definitely portrayed in their everyday actions and the way they worked.
Definitely valuable, by gaining the insight to everyday life within the firm, it gives you an idea if the role and firm would suit you.
Everything Else
Paid and reimbursed expenses.
Plenty, from networking sessions to work shadowing.
Yes, a few networking sessions over lunch as well as social events for the interns.
Definitely, I learn't a lot from the 2 week experience which was invaluable.
