About You
I did not expect to enjoy is at much as I did. The employees were all very friendly in the division I was in
I felt quite valued during the internship as I was able to set up meetings with senior employees to discuss more and ask questions. Also we had chances during the program to interact with MDs, VPs, and senior officials
There were advisors, and sponsors to help with some projects and again, everyone was willing to offer support by answering questions you emailed or setting up a meeting to have a chat about it
I learnt a lot from the spring insight. It may not help with my degree per se as I currently study engineering. However, I gained a lot of knowledge about the finance world so I understand it much better
The Company
There was an agenda for everyday but the was also free time to work on projects or interact with other employees
The atmosphere was great! I really enjoyed it
Not too much as it was only 2 weeks, but they do invest a lost with the Graduate program which we were told about
Couldn't really get better than this. It was quite intense at times but that was to be expected. Only reason this is not a 9 or 10 is because, as it's an insight program, they have to put their best foot forward and so might not be an accurate reflection of the day-to-day
Definitely now understand what people mean when they talk about the culture at GS, and it is lovely
We got to see the variety of roles within Tech at GS, so I could decide which roles suited me best
Everything Else
There were organised networking events and free time to schedule to meet anyone and most employees were happy to have a chat
They were good and people were generally happy to answer any questions
Yes we were told about the various activities GS had for employees outside work including community service and gyms
Definitely, wasn't really thinking of a career in finance before this but now I am definitely interested!
