The Role
The job was quite boring and very repeatative.
My jobs where highly important so i did feel as part of the team.
Not a lot of training at all. It was a very steep learning curve, and I basically learnt from my mistakes
Fairly busy!. But also had some time to relax.
Alot of responsibility. Which was scary.
Training was minimal so i think not good in that respect, but I had to do the learning from my mistakes.
The Company
My office was just me and supervisor so was very good. Although I had to go to the big office downstairs which was always bitchy.
Very badly set up. I was first placement in commercial/financial role, and didnt even have objectives when i started.
The company did not invest at all in me. There is no motivation to placements students to come back either.
I would never come back as it seems to be a dying industry.
The Culture
There where 5 other placements tsudents so I was never really alone.
Hard to cope on such a low wage and socialising. On the other hand, sheffield is a wicked city for night life.
Excellent. Lots and lost of students, so felt right at home.
NO, work was work and that was it. No activities where organised by (hr) to get placements students together. We did that all by ourselves.
