The Role
I was given great opportunities to show what I could do.
It is common in an international environment to feel like people are strangers, but the more time went on the more I felt valued and appreciated, it just took plenty of communicating and trust building.
I could always reach my boss, whether he was half way across the world on business on in office, he continually gave great support and guidance.
Some days would be dry, but there is always something to be getting on with no matter how mundane the task!
I felt like there were no boundaries, if I had an idea and proposed it with another backing it would always be taken into consideration.
For my dissertation I am doing a reflective practitioner project in which I reflect on my year placement and focus on my future plans. I will most defiantly use these skills in the future as I plan to work for a MNE on an international level but am open to any role, not just marketing.
The Company
Unfortunately the desk pod would be the majority of the time empty as people would be on business, but generally in the office I could interact with e-business staff.
I would rate the beginning and end of my placement very highly. There were many training programmes and social activities at the beginning, and plenty of exciting projects near the end of my placement when I had developed my skills etc.
I would say the training I received was mainly at the beginning of my placement, my personal training and development I believe got lost somewhere in the hype of everyone do what they needed to do for work. I did however keep a personal development log and set targets for myself but it would have been good to exchange thoughts with my manager.

I have been informed because of the effects of the recession they have reduced the amount of graduate positions, but I will still apply if there is a position I feel is for me.
The Culture
There were plenty of us and lots of social events we all participated in.
I have lived in areas around the South East and South coast and Bracknell has been the cheapest.
Reading is the place to go for nightlife! Only a 15/20 minute taxi.
If you like keeping active, there is Bracknell Leisure Centre down the road! Lots of other activities to get involved with just look at the notice boards at work.
