The Role
At times the job became repetitive but whenever I voiced this. They would allow to take on a new task or move around and work in different sections within the department.
The bank made me feel welcome all the time encouraging activities such as joining gym classes and sports teams. Also, they held many fundraising events such as quizes and bake sales which made my time truly enjoyable because they actively made me feel involved.
I had my own personal line manager and was allocated a buddy when I joined the bank so I felt supported all the way through. I was sat next to manager and she was then able to help me whenever an issue arose and if she was not there others would offer aid.
Some days were extremely busy and others there wasn't much to do and parts of other jobs I was not able to do because I wasn't properly qualified or had the training I think more could have been done in creating a steady workflow where I didn't feel bored some times.
I was given quite a lot of responsibility as my job was my own and it allowed me to be able to develop skills in completing my job
I think I certainly earned skills for life as the introduction into the workplace was a welcomed one they allowed me to go on courses and take part in training that was given to initial entrants and graduates. I think that I have skills that enable me to go into the workforce on completion of my degree.
The Company
It was a lively and friendly atmosphere
Quite well organised but the introduction to my job at the beginning as rushed as my line manager was away and I had two weeks to train as the previous employee who held my job moved on to a new section.
They led introductions to other members of the bank and actively invested in the social aspect of our lives as well which was really impressive as they got us to mix with other initial entrants within the bank.
