About You
I enjoyed the insight very much. It was very well-planned, activities were interesting and challenging, and I made a lot of new friends
Everyone was very friendly and nice to talk to, and they try their best to help if we had any questions.
Quite a lot - HR was very approachable and easy to communicate with.
I think I've developed on certain skills that will definitely be helpful in future, such as teamwork and public speaking. There were a lot of activities that required cooperation with other people, and it was good that we had rotating tables so that we could get to meet new people everyday. There were also activities that required quick thinking and public speaking such as the presentation activity, and that was a good practice for the assessment centre.
The Company
The programme was well-structured and covered all the aspects that I would've liked to experience - we had presentations, activities and games, networking and workshadowing, and it was well-planned despite it being only a 4-day programme.
It was generally quite relaxed, and everyone enjoyed it a lot and we had a lot of fun especially during the trading game and investor challenge where it got a bit more intense. But in general it was a very friendly and sociable atmosphere.
Quite a lot - the activities were planned with clear objectives and they made the effort to ensure that the logistics and that we had the necessary resources. It was a good learning environment.
We had a work shadowing session which lasted for an afternoon, so we had the opportunity to sit with a mentor and to find out what he do on a daily basis. I guess it would be difficult to have a complete picture of how a full-time role would be like due to time constraints, but we did get a glimpse of the work.
Very valuable - I had a better idea of what would be most suitable for me and the direction which I would like to work towards.
Everything Else
I lived in central London so I did not require accommodation or transport arrangements.
We had a networking lunch, graduate panel discussion and speed networking, so I got to speak to quite a few employees. During the work shadowing session, our mentor also introduced us to some of his colleagues around and we even got to sit in a bit with another department.
We had a social event at a bowling alley on the first night, so that was really nice as I got to meet a lot of the fellow interns that I didn't get to speak to during the day, and it was really fun! We also had a networking lunch and a speed networking session, but those were shorter.
We had a panel discussion with some of the employees who came to talk about the other activities they were involved in both inside and outside of work.
Yes, definitely.
