About You
I really enjoyed the Spring Insight Scheme and I would thoroughly recommend it to others.
I felt extremely valued on the scheme. The partners who I met took the time to talk to me despite the scheme only being two days.
I was provided with suitable guidance and support on the scheme. The trainees who I worked with really supported me when I needed it - they were extremely helpful!
On the scheme, I was given a chance to develop my research skills when working in my chosen department. This was a great opportunity because, studying English, I had never really researched law-related issues in such depth. I was given a lot of information and tips about applying for training contracts and vacation schemes which was invaluable as I'm planning on applying to Simmons and Simmons in the future.
The Company
The scheme was very well structured. There were many activities, all of which were extremely useful.
The atmosphere during the scheme was great. The culture at the firm was really everything that Simmons and Simmons advertise it to be.
There were various presentations, such as developing a personal brand, which were great as it felt like the firm was really investing time and energy into the people on the scheme.
The scheme really helped me to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the firm as I was able to speak to a lot of trainees and lawyers about their personal experiences at Simmons and Simmons.
The insight really helped me understand the company culture in the short time that I was there.
The content of the scheme was invaluable in helping me to decide on my future career path. It confirmed that commercial law is most definitely what I would like to pursue in life.
Everything Else
I was paid more than adequately for this experience.
There were many opportunities to network during the scheme - including at a brilliant event at Bounce!
As aforementioned, they were fantastic!
A little, but because of the length of the scheme, I didn't get to find out about these in depth.
Yes, I would highly recommend the scheme!
