The Role
I didnt realise I would learn this much! Lots of responsibility.
The placement scheme at Vauxhall motors is very well established and you are treated on an equal level as any other employee from the day you start. Trusted with real work responsibilities.
2 week handover period with previous undergraduate is excellent. Get 'shown the ropes'. Managers like to see you push yourselves and are always open to your thoughts and suggestions. You are assigned a mentor and manager to guide you and support you with anything throughout the placement.
It Varies. Always work to do or be getting on with. I often had to work to tight deadlines so was often busy, however I enjoyed the responsibility of having to ensure i met deadlines. It was motivating.
A lot of responsibility, especially in the marketing team. Your choices and suggestions are listened to. Also often have to have meeting with external agencies where you are trusted to make decisions.
training in using excell, presentation skills and a driver awareness course will assist me in my finanal year and when i go back into the workplace.
The Company

The Culture
nearly 70 other undergrads this year so always had many social trips including nights out, parties and holidays.
Cost of living is relatively cheep in luton. Nights out in Luton are ok. it takes 30 mins on train to london and train runs hourly through the night which is good.
Luton has a few clubs and plenty of pubs. Also lots of social activities organised through the undergrads.
