The Role
Great fun, got to experience many things and the people were great!
Given the responsibility of a full time marketer
Provided me with great support and mentoring throughout the year. Always gave constructive feedback at reviews.
I was more often busy than not, this was great as it meant I had stuff to do!
Given the responsibility of a full time marketer. Really felt valued by the team.
Great IP training program including: presentaiton skills, time management, six sigma and role specific training. I can now work pivot tables!
The Company
Great atmosphere, open layout made it easy to communicate with managers and colleagues. The team was always welcoming and made me feel part of the business.
The business I worked in was going through a major re-structure so there was some uncertainty at the beginning. However, once everything settled down I was given targets and projects to get on with.
Speaking to friends who have worked at other companies, it seems like 3M gave placement students a very high level on investment and attention compared to the rest.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen

Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Very attractive company to work for.
The Culture
Great social scene, not just amongst students but colleagues as well.
I personally commuted from my hometown, but Bracknell was considerably cheaper compared to Reading, Guildford etc.
Not much happening in Bracknell but Reading and Wokingham were on the doorstep!
Loads of sports clubs and social events
