    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I have really enjoyed my work placement with IBM - I was lucky enough to try out three different roles whilst working there. There are loads of opportunities to get out of the office and help out in the community, network with other people in the company and learn about yourself through training.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • All of my colleagues have been great - they really value my work and are all so helpful!!

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My managers have helped me a lot, they are always there to give advice and will help with any problems I have.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days I was busy, other days I had hardly any work to do. Towards the end of my placement I had lots of extra work to do which was a really great thing!

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given set tasks to manage and be responsible for. I also found that the managers really trust you to manage your own work and work without their supervision which was great.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think that the skills I have developed whilst on placement have been more valuable than anything I have learnt whilst studying my degree. I also feel that my organisation and prioritisation skills will help me during my final year at university.

    5/5
