The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at IBM, and was presented with numerous career building opportunities.
I was given responsibility and authority to make my own decisions as a fully fledged IBM employee.
IBM provided various opportunities for development and constantly provided support where needed.
I was kept consistently busy, however, this was a good thing. It ensured I was always engaged and had something interesting to do.
I was given responsibility and authority to make my own decisions as a fully fledged IBM employee.
I have improved my interpersonal skills, and now have a strong understanding of the business world.
The Company
Most of the time, the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Since IBM is a strong work-from-home company, the office did get quiet on occasion.
IBM have spent a lot of money on setting up dedicated departments and managers specifically for placement students. This meant the whole scheme was well organised and managed.
We were provided with various training courses, and IBM paid for certifications where necessary.
IBM does a good job of supporting you through both IBM's graduate recruitment process, and other companies' too.
The Culture
Since IBM employs lots of students, there is a good social scene throughout the year.
London - so it's expensive.
London - good night life, but it's not really relevant.
IBM arranges various sporting events and other social activities.
