The Role
This was a very good placement, i was provided with a lot of responsibility and all the necessary training and support to carry it out well.
I was considered a full member of the team and once completing the intensive training schedule I had as much responsibility as the rest of the members of the department.
my manager was excellent and very supportive. She alloweed me to structure my year so i got as much out of it as possible.
The workload was sometimes quite intense which i really enjoyed as i preferred to be very busy rather than have little to do. There was some pressure but the manager was there to support you and would help out if your work load became too heavy.
Once training was completed i had full responsibility for my own projects and had a small team to co-ordinate to get the job done.
Excellent set up for final year. The organisational and time management skills have been invaluable.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly and there were students around to got out with. I would have preferred it if they had put in systems to help connect you with fellow students.
Very well established and thoughtout.
Whenever there was training the manager sent me on it so i was up to spead with the latest developments.

There are good prospects if i return to GSK however the grad schemes are extremely competitive.
The Culture
Yes lots of other students however it took a log time to find students in other departments.
considering i was in london accommodation was relatively cheap and if you pick the right nights and places socialising wasnt too expensive either.
Amazing, there is always something on in London.
There were a few such as a football team but there weren’t excessive amounts to do.
