    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It has not quite lived up to the expectations I had but I firmly believe it was a timing issue and that given another location/ time in the cycle of this organisation I would have had a much better time.

    2/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues were very welcoming from day one and made me feel like part of the team, they were always there for help and guidance if required and provided an excellent atmosphere for me to work and grow in

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The support and guidance I received during my placement was excellent from both managers

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It differed from month to month, but all in all I would have liked more meaningful work during my placement

    2/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • There was not a lot of room in my job role and organisation to be given much responsibility

    2/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I have developed working with some of the technologies at the forefront of the industry will carry me well into the future

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • My colleagues were all excellent and even though there were no other interns my age in the office I always felt welcomed and part of the group.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I moved in at a difficult time, a time of transition, so my placement wasn't fantastically prepared for me

    2/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • An average amount of investment, they allowed me to go to events and hackathons, and provided me with some on the job training

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • The job prospects are appealing in themselves but due to my mixed year here along with the location of the opportunities I am not interested in continuing

    1/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I'm sure in other locations it is the polar opposite of this, but there were no other interns in my team
