The Role
It has not quite lived up to the expectations I had but I firmly believe it was a timing issue and that given another location/ time in the cycle of this organisation I would have had a much better time.
My colleagues were very welcoming from day one and made me feel like part of the team, they were always there for help and guidance if required and provided an excellent atmosphere for me to work and grow in
The support and guidance I received during my placement was excellent from both managers
It differed from month to month, but all in all I would have liked more meaningful work during my placement
There was not a lot of room in my job role and organisation to be given much responsibility
The skills I have developed working with some of the technologies at the forefront of the industry will carry me well into the future
The Company
My colleagues were all excellent and even though there were no other interns my age in the office I always felt welcomed and part of the group.
I moved in at a difficult time, a time of transition, so my placement wasn't fantastically prepared for me
An average amount of investment, they allowed me to go to events and hackathons, and provided me with some on the job training

The job prospects are appealing in themselves but due to my mixed year here along with the location of the opportunities I am not interested in continuing
The Culture
I'm sure in other locations it is the polar opposite of this, but there were no other interns in my team
The cost of living is quite high and it wasn't very social outside sporting activities
I didn't partake in it much so I cannot say, there are plenty of places around though.
There are many things to do in the area if you take a look at sites like meetup.com
