The Role
Valued as a colleague rather than an intern. Was given many opportunities to work independently and with others.
Actively finding tasks with valuable experience to contribute towards the intern experience
Always on hand via Instant Messaging/text/emails for any queries. Plenty of people on the team to find out about things.
Many fluctuations during the year, where over time was required and sometimes very little work to do! There is no balance within this work environment.
There was no one over-looking me. Colleagues trusted me to do all tasks without needing to constantly check up on me
The work environment, giving a structured day would allow me to be motivated to work longer rather than when necessary
The Company
Was extremely flexible and relaxed. Was able to work from home as you only had to have your PC. A lot of different events throughout the year that interns were also involved with to gain full experience of working at HP
Inner department was fine, however the general management of all interns could have been better
Had a month handover with the previous intern was which extremely useful! There are a lot of online and face to face training and development available to all employees

Graduate Schemes available, but for certain aspects of the company. With the split coming up, I have been told there are going to be more opportunities. However, I know very little about this
The Culture
The intern community was approximately 60-70 people. There is a committee which organises events for people to attend. There has been also external colleague events to show there is a good work life balance
Fairly expensive, but living close to London. I would say average price for the South of the country. However, for those who have moved from the North would find it extremely expensive
Many events and places to visit. Short train ride from London
There are always internal mail for activities around the local area. Also charitable events for people who wanted to get involved
