  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I did really enjoy it, the Intern community was great.

  • I worked with the Senior Leadership Team so most were too busy to give me much time.

  • My manager was too busy for me and I was delegated to someone he manages, she was a massive help and provided me with a lot of support, before this I have very minimal guidance.

  • I was probably busy for 5 hours a day.

  • Working with the SLT I was given lots of responsibility which was great!

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I will definitely take the working lifestyle back to uni with me in my final year so time management has gotten a lot better!

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I was sat with other interns or graduates as a lot of managers now work remotely so it was pretty nice, I really like the open plan office system

  • Very well organised!

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Not as much as I'd have liked but I understand why they wouldn't want to invest too much in us on the chance we wouldn't apply back through the graduate scheme.

  • Much more appealing than the benefits offered as an Intern!

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes very good social scene, every Thursday night there would always be a crowd heading to a bar after work!

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Very very very expensive! But then London is! Thankfully IBM provided with a London allowance on top of our salary which helped a bit.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Not sure about the nightlife around my work but where I live it's great! There are some great bars on the South Bank though!

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes tons! IBM have a program called Giveback where you can get involved with lots of activities outside of work.
