The Role
I enjoyed the placement a lot, however I wish they had told us about busy season.
We were treated as any other employee would be, given full responsibility and ownership over tasks.
We were given excellent training and support whenever we needed it.
We were always kept busy and I was never bored at work.
As much as any other employee, we were given full responsibility of our tasks.
I think my work ethic has been improved greatly and I think it will really help me next year, I hope to return to EY after my degree.
The Company
It was always busy and there were always people around. You work with different teams at least every month so you get to meet new people in the office all the time. You're often out at client sites which is cool because you get to go to lots of different companies. The office was very open plan and you could sit where you liked.
Excellent, we had great training and were inducted very well into the company. We had training throughout and socials with the other placement students and we were treated as any other employee.
A lot, they let us take 2 of the ICAS accounting exams. We had regular training aimed at not only improving our technical skills but also our core competencies. There were lots of opportunities to get involved in and we were invested in as much as a full time employee,
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Very appealing, I hope to return as a grad.
The Culture
Yes, we all got along great. There are lots of social events organised by EY practically every week.
It was in London so it was expectedly high, however EY paid generously so I managed to pay my rent, go out whenever I liked and save enough to go travelling this summer.
There were lots of pubs and bars around London Bridge, but also its so central so you could go anywhere in London.
There were lots of sports clubs.
