The Role
My internship has been great till now, It started slow as expected but as we moved on I see it has bloomed pretty well.
I was given a lot of responsibilities all year, sometimes I felt that I am a very important person at this company.
This was something where I guess Intel lacked a bit. I wasn't guided as properly as I expected. I had 1:1 with my managers but there was no proper review system on our performance which I really didn't liked.
it depends, when there was a project going on I was very busy and sometimes there was nothing much to do. Pretty well balanced to be frank.
A lot, I was made primary owner of many applications and I was made to talk to business owners and users at the same time and resolve their problems.
Well I feel I learnt nothing at university after working here. I have became a PRO now at coding, time management, communication, presentation skills etc. I think when I go back to university I am sure I will be a different person.
The Company
Pretty relaxed. no pressure from colleagues. My manager is really cool. I have never though anything like this will happen in such a big company.
Well the organised part was a bit lacking as we were not trained as properly as you expect from a big company like Intel. But again I learnt a lot along the way so I did manage it somehow
This was one of the great things about Intel. if I tell my manager that I am lacking presentation skills, he will give me a opportunity to present in front of people from different GEOS which I could have never thought of before.
