The Role
greatly enjoyed the work and the workign environment and mostly the poeple were very helpful
never felt like a student, colleagues were very helpful and apprciated any input I could give.
my supervisors were excellent in helping me with any problems and giving me clear guideline on what my role was and how I could improve
I was left to manage my work and time and this was benefical as it gave me excellent time managemnt skills and allowed me to enjoy the placement even more.
For the projects I was researching I wascompletely in charge of the. From plannind, executing, data analysis and presenting the work was down to me.
most definatley skills for life and has already helped me to gain experience in several techniques that helped me get my phd
The Company
very friendly people and very hardworkign was defiantely a great place to work in.
They had many pervious students so everything ran smoothly and there were other 50 other students at the site.
training at the start for safety and genearal lab work. oppourtuniy to attend seminars for development

The Culture
over 50 students got to know many of them and made the year great fun!
rent was cheaper than i expected and the living cost were not too bad either
Okay in steveange had some nice pubs, also central london was only 20 mins by train
Gyming was something i did after work. plenlty of oppourtunity for other activites such as horse riding in the area
