About You
I really enjoyed myself. Had a lot of fun with the team that I was placed with and fellow students.
The team was very welcoming. They took time to get to know me and learn how much I understood about their division before setting me tasks. At the end they put back time in their schedule to review my work, giving tips on how to improve. The company paid for all lunches and travel expenses.
As much or as little as I needed. My team were on hand to answer any questions I had about working life or about the tasks they set me. I was also constantly being asked if I wanted a coffee or a chance to meet various employees so that I could hear their point of view too.
My degree is a science degree, so I didn't learn anything specific apart from computer modelling on Excel. The communication, networking skills and financial insight I gained, however, was invaluable and I will definitely be using those in future.
The Company
Well structured for me in my Corporate Banking division. The week varied a lot depending on which team/ division you were assigned to. I had a mixture of tasks and networking which kept me busy enough, but not exhausted.
Pretty great. As I said before, the team I worked with were very welcoming and gave me a really good insight into what it would actually be like to work for the firm. Kind of wish it had been longer!
