About You
I really enjoyed the insight. It was a great opportunity to find out more about RBS and meet many people.
I felt very valued throughout my time at the company. We were treated well throughout the process and employees took the time to chat with you and were genuinely interested.
We received a good amount of support throughout the week. We informed well before tasks what we were doing, and this gave you a good chance to prepare.
The skills developed with be of great benefit in my degree studies and beyond. The insight into how RBS and the Investment bank work was invaluable. The knowledge gained from work shadowing will help in future jobs.
The Company
The insight was structured very well. We knew before we attended what the plan was. Each activity ran smoothly and there were never any issues.
The atmosphere during the insight was great. Everyone enjoyed themselves and became friendly and there were many events that gave us an opportunity to get to know each other.
RBS offered many skill sessions during the week with a variety of different trainers, which gave us a good opportunity to develop our skills.
The insight gave me a good understanding of what it would be like to have a full time role with RBS. This was made possible due to the work shadowing and opportunities to network.
We were given various presentations which helped us understand the company culture and got to experience it ourselves during the work shadowing. So overall got a good understanding.
The insight really demonstrated what it would be like to work in this industry and the networking opportunities gave us a good chance to find out what the job would really be like.
Everything Else
We were given great accommodation and all expenses paid.
There were lots of opportunities for networking, including drinks, lunches and work shadowing.
The networking and social events were good fun. Employees were very open and honest about their experiences and we were able to have a good time.
We learnt about the CSR opportunities available to RBS employees and were even able to take part in one ourselves.
I would definitely recommend this insight to a friend. It was a brilliant week with a great mixture of tasks and events to take part in. It's a great opportunity to learn about the organisation, meet interesting people and give yourself the chance to get fast tracked for a summer internship.
