The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my year at Cummins.
Everyone I worked with was really supportive and willing to help if needed.
I had regular 1:1s with my Manager and she always provided me with guidance and support.
Workload varied depending on what was going on in the business.
At Cummins every placement student is a valued member of the team and is given a lot of responsibility if they can handle it.
The Company
The placement programme is well organised and structures with a thorough induction so all students feel welcome.
Cummins invests a lot of time and money in training and development. The structured student programme is great for developing soft skills and workplace confidence.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Above 25 days holiday
Cummins is a great employer and runs a Graduate Programme which is very appealing.
The Culture
All the student placements (approx. 20) go out and socialise together which makes the placement experience much more enjoyable.
Darlington is very cheap.
Darlington isn't the best for nightlife but is still fun!
There is a lot of opportunity to get involved in fundraising/charity work both inside and out of work. The Sports and Social Club also organises trips/outings such as York Races which is great value and lots of fun.
