The Role
This placement has given me invaluable working experience which will be extremely useful when I begin full time work. I have a variety of work to complete, some operational work and other analytical work. The operational work is sometimes quite boring but this is offset by the analytical work I am able to do.
I feel very valued by nearly all my collagues within my team.
This is very high. My managers are always aware of my workload and check whether it is manageable.
This varies depending on what week it is in the month but the workload is normally at the right balance.
I have high levels of responsibility, something I thought I wouldn't get throughout my placement.
The skills I use are not particularly related to my degree title but the soft skills I have learnt will help me a lot. eg. working to hard deadlines
The Company
There is the correct balance between fun and hard working!
Very well organised, there is a specific programme in place for the sandwich interns.
I was able to go on many training courses - internal and external
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
I am going to re-apply for a graduate job at the bank of England.
The Culture
Yes, I have made some good friends as a result of this placement.
London is a great place to socialise but it is very expensive in live locally.
Great, but expensive!
There are some volunteering opportunities on put by the Bank of England.
