The Role
I enjoyed it a lot! GSK is a great company to work for. Having been able to witness & be part of the HR department of an employer of choice has provided me with with a great model to look up to wherever I will be working at in the future.
Given that a key value at GSK is "respect for people" - I was treated like anyone else in the company. Also, given the amount of responsibilities I have been given, I have always felt valued by & valueable to my team.
I was provided with a lot of guidance and support - my team and colleagues were always ready to provide me with feedback on my stregths and development areas. Also - weekly meetings with my manager enabled me to set developmental objectives and meet them too.
Very busy!
I was given a lot of responsibility, but never something I wouldn't be able to achieve.
I believe this year was the best way for me to prepare for a graduate Job - I am now able to join a company and add value from day 1!

Yes - there is a network of 380 placement students organizing both social & business events.
The cost of living and socialising in the area I worked in were okay given that we were only just outside central london.
non-existent in the area I worked in, but a 15 minute bus ride away is Ealing, which has nightlife. Also, a couple of stops away on the picadilly line is central london!!
Yes: work drinks & sports events organized by GSK.
