The Role
I really enjoyed my work placement year. I was able to experience a wide range of projects delivering client work, as well as working on BD tasks, organising charity and social events and representing the firm on campus.
From the feedback i received formally and informally i felt extremly valued by my colleagues. I found this a great help and motivation when completing my work. I was always made feel that i was just like any other member of the team, and was never made to feel like the 'placement studnet'.
On a day to day basis.
I was very busy most of the time. On most projects i was expected to work a lot of over time to meet client deadlines, however when i was waiting for new projects to start i was often not busy.
On some projects i was given a manager lever job and on others i worked to the same level as colleagues who had graduated 2-3 years previously.
The skill set i have gained will help me in my degree and future career.
