The Role
The job gave real responsibility, however sometimes not very rewarding.
Great team environment, but sometimes felt I was working harder than other team members without any credit for taking on additional work.
My manager helped encourage my networking and having quarterly reviews meant we could work on my development throughout the year.
Initially I was busy enough however as the placement went on I got used to the day-to-day work and became quite bored with the not enough to do to fill my time. The only time I am busy is the first 5 working days due to the nature of the work.
I was given a fare amount of responsibility in terms of reporting, however I think I could have taken on more and my role lacked the opportunity to do something new and different as all reporting must meet a certain criteria.
The skills I have learnt will have some impact in helping my work ethic and motivation to get things done. However, it has had a even larger impant on my future career as I am now understand the work lifestyle, I have far better problem solving skills and now also have the confidence to network among colleagues and up to management level. Prior to the placement I would not have been able to communicate as efficiently with management.
The Company
Friendly and fun.
Induction could have been shorter and more precise instead of sitting around waiting for things to do. Training organised in good time to help settle in to role.
A great deal was invested in training to ensure that I could settle into the role.

Working from home
Great opportunity in career development in the future.
The Culture
There was a fair amount of a social scene amongst undergrads, however it became quite clicky. There are many opportunities to socialise with fellow colleagues.
Lived at home.
Milton Keynes has a terrible nightlife.
Only really sporting activities, and not very easy to get information on them.
