    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • As with any job, there are days where it is a bit tedious and monotonous, but on the whole the job is varied, interesting and enjoyable.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The people at ProspectSoft are fantastic, and I really enjoyed the lively, friendly atmosphere in the office.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Support and guidance is readily available and anyone will give you time if you need it. However, people are busy so you need to use some initiative and be a bit pushy sometimes to get the help you need.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • As a small business there is always a lot to do, and there are a lot of different tasks which you become involved in. Therefore I found that I always had work to do, but some days were very busy and others weren't so bad. You need good time management skills!

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given quite a lot of responsibility, I ran two projects while I was there on top of my day-to-day tasks.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have gained a lot of confidence, and my business awareness and knowledge has increased a huge amount. I think this will be extremely beneficial in my future career and my degree.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere at ProspectSoft is lively and fun but also professional. Lots of friendly banter and a really fun place to work.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement scheme is a big part of ProspectSoft's strategy, and actually the scheme's organisation is getting better and better each year.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had lots of internal training, as well as a bit of external training. However more importantly, they invested time and effort internally to help me to develop my own skills.

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    1/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I have been offered a provisional job following the completion of my degree and I'm looking forward to going back

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social scene amongst placements was brilliant. We organised several nights out, football, cricket, drinks after work, trips away and generally made really good friends.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I worked in Stokenchurch but lived in Oxford. Oxford is a very expensive place to live but the salary paid is enough to get by.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Oxford is brilliant for a night out, and High Wycombe is improving. Also London and Reading aren't far, so there are plenty of places to go out.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Golf, football, cricket

    4/5
