The Role
I have loved my placement at Volkswagen Group and would recommend it to any undergraduate wishing to pursue a career in the automotive industry.
I feel valued by my colleagues, but there are constant reminders that you are 'just' an undergraduate when some opportunities arise.
If you approach a manager in the correct manner and when it is convenient for them, they are usually willing to help to support you.
Extremely busy. I was in a small team with an incredible amount of work and pressure - but this can only be seen as a good thing as my responsibilities were enhanced by this.
A lot of responsbility - especially towards the tail end of the placement.
It has enabled me to take a more professional approach to my university work and also allowed me to prioritise my workload in a more professional and efficient manner.
The Company
As a SEAT employee, it was very relaxed but hard working. I felt valued in SEAT and there was a 'family' atmosphere where everybody was working together and got along well.
The work placement was set up well, but needs updating as the graduate scheme has been. Still a great scheme, though.
I received Excel Training, PowerPoint training, Self Management for High Performance training and also constant on-the-job training. There was a lot of time invested into me as an undergraduate.

I would love to come back on the Graduate scheme and persue a career at VWG.
The Culture
Yes, a large group of the students met every lunch and also became friends out of office hours.
The area is quite expensive as it is so close to London, however, if you are sensible about who you choose to live with and where you choose to stay, it is all relative.
Not the best. But good when you're with friends.
There were several social groups which you could choose to become a part of (for example, running club)
