The Role
I really enjoted my role. My manager enabled me to take ownership of areas of the department, which meant I felt very valued. I was involved both in daily routines and projects which meant that I was able to contribute to various areas of the team and business.
I got on really well with all my colleagues. I feel that my contribution to the team was really valued, and I was able contriute heavily to the devolpment of the team.
I felt that my colleagues gave me alot of support and the beginning of my placement, and as I developed I was able to return that support to them later on in my placement. I felt that my managed trusted my work, and in doing so gave me a lot of responsibility but also good feedback on the pieces of work I contributed to.
I had a good balance of daily structure, adhoc and project work which meant I was pleasantly busy for the duration of my placement.
I delivered work on a weekly basis for the managing director that was used by all the brands on a regular basis. The forecasting and re-forecasting I produced was essential to all aspects of my business and my manager giving me ownership of a lot of high profile areas of the business meant I felt trust and valued with the responsibility I was given
I have learned an awful lot in my placement year. The excel skills I have learned will greatly help me with my degree, and I expect the general commericial awareness will support my future career progression after university.
The Company
Great. Despite my team having various differing roles around the business, everyone was friendly and went over and above to make sure they made me feel comfortable for the duration.
I think I would have benefited from receiving my role desciption prior to starting with the business, however that said I was able to define my role myself which was good.
I was given access to training courses throughout my time with the company, however on occasion access to the courses were restricted due to being an undergraduate student and instead I was provided with a variation on the course.

The Culture
I expressed an interest at the beginning of my placement to join a sports team within the business, but unfortunately I never received any further information on this and it didn't seem to be followed up.
